Hey Everyone,
Tony here at Ai2 Products giving you a quick overview of what our Kubota BX25D looks like all setup for winter right now. We got the backhoe off and stored away on the top of the pallet racking and the mower deck was put on a pallet and sitting on the pallet racking as well. So pretty straightforward stuff.
So now that the backhoe is off we needed something to hold down the back of the tractor. So I have one of the very first prototype rear weight racks, rear pallet fork and rear 2″ receiver hitch thing-a-ma-jiggies I made for the 3-point hitch. I have it packed full of our 20 lbs John deere look-a-like suit case weights. I modeled them after the John deere weight because it’s a more compact weight than the kubota 55 lbs ones. They are made from 1″ A36 plate and are sized just right so they weigh in right at the 20 lbs. This makes them easier to handle and I can pack more of them into the weight rack better than the JD ones. I have redesigned this rack and made a bunch of changes to this thing to improve a few areas but haven’t made a new one yet. But have some CAD models of this on our Ai2 Facebook page. This rack full of weights weighs in at 520 lbs. So should do a good job holding the rear end down and is fairly compact. Plus this weight rack has a foot stand built into it so you can drop it to the floor in your shop or garage and not have to unload all the weights. It just sits on the built in feet. So a cool little unit and will getting this into production soon!!!
So at the front of the machine I have our new 50″ high volume dirt bucket. Now I’m sure your thinking to yourself??? Why doesn’t he have the big 60″ light material bucket out front?? Well I would but I’m out of them right now and have more on the way soon. Otherwise yes the big 60 would be on the beast. So this bucket is another new attachment that was just developed and built a couple months ago. Have a couple out there being used and abused to see how they work. But they will be available soon. This bucket is 50″ wide on the inside of the shell and sits sort of right between the big 60 and the factory dirt bucket. I wanted something that was good for dirt work but still had good volume for those bulky materials. Has a nice .5″ x 4″ heavy duty welded in cutting edge with holes in it so you can do a bolt on cutting edge or a bolt on tooth bar for the hard core ripping and tearing of the terra firma!! Tooth bar is made of .5″ plate as well and bolts on with 5 .5″ plow bolts. The 50″ dirt bucket also has the optional spill guard bolted on the top of the bucket. This helps keep the dirt and rocks from falling on your hood when your lifting things up high. Plus the spill guard all acts as a bucket expander. I used this for moving some snow the other day and the spill guard actually increase the volume of the bucket when your filling it full of snow. Works pretty good. Then at the bottom of the bucket we have 4 wear bars welded into the shell. This help protect the bottom of the bucket shell from wear and tear and grinding a hole in the shell over time. This bucket weighs in about 5 lbs more than the factory dirt bucket. So a nice light weight bucket for doing the dirty work.
So that’s about it for what did at Ai2 Products to get the big Kubtoa BX25D ready for the snow!!!
